God Doesn't Call the Qualified...
He Qualifies the Called !
Hello,
Thank-you for your interest in becoming a volunteer for Hope Life Center. Anyone wishing to work or volunteer at the Center, in any capacity, must participate in Peer Counseling Training. This training will be a small group learning opportunity,
and it will be a time when single topics can be explored in depth. The training will provide the tools and skills to help you be better equipped to deal with pregnancy center situations.
It is important for new trainees to attend all of the sessions as each session builds upon the next. Some of the topics we will be covering are:
- The biblical basis for the sanctity of life
|
- Listening and helping skills -The role of the gospel
|
- Discussion about adoption, abstinence, and abortion
|
The cost for the training is a suggested donation of $20.00 to cover the cost of the manual. This training is for both Sterling and Dixon Volunteers and will be held at the Sterling Center.
In Christ,
Pat Gaumer R.N., B.S.N. - Director
We're concerned - like everyone else - about the results of elections.
The results of this year's elections will impact future policy - and lives! Our focus, however, is on those we see. We want to be in touch with their issues and with their pain. When we do that, we know that we're fulfilling the mission the
Lord has set before us.
At HPC, there are no quick slogans, no signs and no sound bites... Instead, there is a lot of listening, quiet conversation and a lot of prayer. If you believe in those three things, we need you to volunteer. We want you on our team, because
it's people like you - one at a time - who can make a difference in the lives of those we see for years to come. |

We will help you share the Gospel, promote sexual abstinence and present the latest information on sexually transmitted diseases and abortion facts. Completing the seminar does not commit you to volunteering at the Center, but is required
should you want to at a later date. If you would be interested in training sooner, please contact us and we can arrange training on a one on one basis.
Please call us at 625-5300 for more details.
