HOPE LIFE CENTER - VOLUNTEER / TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES |
| |
God Doesn't Call the Qualified...
He Qualifies the Called!
Hello,
Thank-you for your interest in becoming a volunteer for Hope Life Center. Anyone wishing to work or volunteer at the Center, in any capacity,
must participate in Peer Counseling Training. This training will be a small group learning opportunity, and it will be a time when single topics can be explored in depth. The training will provide the tools and skills to help you
be better equipped to deal with pregnancy center situations.
It is important for new trainees to attend all of the sessions as each session builds upon the next. Some of the topics we will be covering are:
- The biblical basis for the sanctity of life
|
- Listening and helping skills -The role of the gospel
|
- Discussion about adoption, abstinence, and abortion
|
The cost for the training is a suggested donation of $20.00 to cover the cost of the manual. This training is for both Sterling and Dixon Volunteers and will be held at the Sterling Center.

The Ministry of Volunteering
Volunteers carry out the work of Hope Life Centers. Volunteers like you. Remember that Jesus did not heal every needy person in the world. He helped the ones he met, ministering to one person at a time. And that is our goal - to counsel
and share the Gospel with one women at a time, to preserve the life of one baby at a time. Both need to receive the love of Jesus through compassionate, caring Christians. Call us today and tell us you want to help. |

Counselor / Volunteer Training
Required for all counselors/volunteers is approximately 18 hours in 4 to 5 sessions covering the sanctity of human life, counseling techniques, listening skills and evangelism. Participation does not obligate you to volunteer. Take
this next step and see if God is calling you to a ministry at Hope Life Center. |

Every day, thousands of women who don't want to be, find out they are pregnant. And many can't handle the news.
A women in crisis may not have the understanding support of friends and family or she may think her life will be ruined if she has a baby. She can become desperate, hopeless, confused and lonely.
Women in crisis are also vulnerable to the pressure of a society that preaches "choice", but offers only the elimination of one life and the wounding of another. They are victimized and exploited ~ coerced by circumstances
and our culture of convenience and greed to kill their children.
Women who are considering abortion need to feel loved and see that there is hope in their desperate situation. Every day, nearly 5,000 women will decide to have their babies or to get an abortion. Many Christians are frustrated and
angry about abortion but feel they can't do anything about it. Can their decision be influenced?
With you it can... Won't you help touch the lives of women in need with God's love? Wont you show them a better way?
