He's back!
Mike Williams once again was "Standing Up" for Hope Life Center on Tuesday, September 14th, 6:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Rock Falls, IL.
Mike Williams just wants to make a difference, so he goes around the country telling jokes. That's his way of supporting pregnancy centers. He's a big guy with a big heart and he knows the ministry is needed.
Williams, who calls himself "the third funniest man in America" speaks to about 80 groups a year. He has been doing comedy for about eleven years, but started working with pregnancy centers two years ago. By bringing comic relief
to a serious situation, Williams hopes to celebrate the fact that women are being helped.
William's comedy revolves around everyday situations, such as signs he sees in restaurants, advertising slogans, and things that happen in real life. Williams says, "My calling as a Christian is to be the salt in a world that really
needs the salt, the light in a world that really needs the light and the joy in a world that really needs the joy. Life's too short and too long not to laugh". By using props in his act he helps us do just that.
While the evening was fun for those who attended, Williams and his special guest, Tim DeTellis used their combined talents to blend the message of hope with humor in such a way that had everyone sitting on the edge of thier seats waiting
to hear what was next.
